Boston boutique Concepts recently unleashed one of their tastiest collaborations yet! The Nike SB Dunk High ‘TurDUNKen’ came fresh out of the oven and dropped at flagship stores worldwide on November 14. As you can see from their fit out in Dubai, they really went all out for this one!

As part of their release celebrations, Concepts held a mock duck shooting contest for 500 customers spread over two days in their Dubai location. The two contestants with the highest scores each day scored a free pair. While eight runners up were also guaranteed a pair on release day. Pretty fitting, considering the collaboration takes aesthetic cues from the Mallard duck.

The ‘TurDUNKen’ honours the trifecta between food, football and friendship. Conceptually animated by the Nike Dri-FIT chicken foot sock stuffed inside a duck-inspired Dunk, the collaborative sneaker even comes in turkey wrapping paper. Boxed in wild oven-inspired packaging, the design features all your favourite holiday leftovers (including a family-dinner-themed turkey leg Nerf vortex football).

‘Weve definitely never taken ourselves too seriously. We’re well-versed in sport. We come from luxury,’ says Concepts Creative Director, Deon Point. ‘The thing with us that always gets overlooked is our sense of humour. We love to have fun.’

Originally made famous by NFL commentator John Madden, Turducken is made from a de-boned chicken stuffed into a de-boned duck, which is then stuffed into a de-boned turkey.

Whilst the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High ‘TurDUNKen’ dropped on November 14 at Concepts’ flagship stores, Concepts Dubai also held an online FCFS drop, giving global customers a chance to cop.

With a RRP of $249, the collaboration included the sneaker, oven packaging, chicken socks, and nerf. Additionally, a second drop via Nike SNKRS took place on November 21, which only included the sneakers and a traditional shoe box.

Did you manage to pick up a pair before Thanksgiving?
