Brush is a brand new custom footwear project by artist Benjamin Smith. Utilising cozy Vans Slip-Ons for his creations, Smith draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and the raw wonder of tribal art. Founded on principles of sustainability and community involvement, Brush has teamed up with the Max Talbot Foundation and the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation to donate 1500 pairs of shoes to Haiti. The shoes were painted by children from each foundation, giving these disadvantaged youth a chance to express themselves artistically. The Max Talbot Foundation also got members of the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL team involved, who painted some shoes that were auctioned to help fund construction of a Haitian orphanage.
