Brain Dead and Reebok Go Colour Crazy on the Zig Kinetica II
Last year saw and join forces to tear up the sneakersphere with insane collaborative releases, pushing the boundaries and creating psychedelic videos and imagery to go alongside each drop. While they were on a hot streak towards the end of last year, for the first half of 2021 they remained relatively quiet… until now! Leo Gamboa of Reebok and Kyle Ng, owner of Brain Dead, have both shared pics of a brand new collaboration on the Zig Kinetica II, inspired by the Japanese Kaiju Vinyl Toys!
A slight departure from their last colab on the , which are skewed more towards the lifestyle market, the Zig Kinetica II is all performance, and presents a welcome change. Doing their thing, Brain Dead have doused the silhouette in a crazy colour combo. Down below on the already loud sole unit we have an almost tie-dye look, with multiple competing colours. The upper has been doused in complex technical materials using a monochrome base, and has been elevated with a psychedelic pattern along the sides.
Brain Dead have come through with an epic video showcasing two colourways of their Zig Kinetica II. Watch it down below and head to their webstore on April 13 to cop, or wait for the global release on April 23. We'll keep you updated when more imagery of the kicks surface.
