Last year, hip hop group Bliss n Eso were announced as G-Shock's first ever collaborators for the Australian market, and last night we finally saw their watch in the resin flesh. The G-Shock DW6900BNE-1D is quite the looker too, with a camouflage band and turquoise accents surrounding a blaring backlight emblazoned with Bliss n Eso's logo. If you didn't get along to the Culture Kings Sydney signing session today, you'll have to wait until next Wednesday to see it when it drops in stores – we'll be bringing you photos of the watch and stockist info on Monday.
The launch party was dope; DJ Mafia mined the decks, delectable finger food lined the stomachs, and plenty of drinks were served to toast to the landmark colab. At the start of the party, glass boxes that encased the watch were cloaked in camouflage netting, meaning only a few unruly sneaky peeking people (us) got to see it. The nets were pulled off after the watch was delivered into the centre of the venue by a custom-built camouflaged drone quad copter. You can see that crazy machine, and a stack of other photos from the night, in the gallery above.
