While is best known as the mind behind many of and , his repertoire actually extends far beyond strips of leather and rubber. Exhibit A: this Zero SR/F electric motorcycle that he’s completely customised with Thor Drake, the owner of See See Motor Coffee.
Hatfield took creative control of the SR/F’s looks department, with Drake handling the technical side of the execution. Plastic parts were swapped out for more charismatic riveted aluminium, and various aerodynamic fairings were reworked into aggressive shapes. Even standard hardware like handlebars and fastenings were replaced with flashier bits. Custom graphics by a local Oregon tattoo artist ties back to Hatfield’s and Drake’s home state.
While custom builds of this calibre tend to end up as garage queens, the Zero SR/F is a highly capable road machine – though mirrors and turn indicators will need to be put back on to make it street legal in most jurisdictions. It’s one of the world’s most advanced electric motorcycles, and in Premium guise, it can hit a top speed of 200km/h and go as far as 320km on a single charge, which only takes an hour to reach 95% capacity.
The Tinker Hatfield x Thor Drake x Zero SR/F will be available at auction from in Los Angeles on October 21. Proceeds will go towards supporting the Friends of Columbia County.
