Following an altercation at The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach on New Year’s eve, Benjamin Kapelushnik, AKA Benjamin Kickz, has been arrested on felony robbery charges. The State Attorney and prosecutor for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Miami-Dade County, Katherine Fernandaz Rundle, recently took to Twitter to talk about the incident involving the 21-year-old, who is known for supplying kicks to big names such as Migos, DJ Khaled, and Drake.

According to Police, Benjamin and a group of friends accompanying him at the hotel got into a verbal disagreement with 19-year-old Luel Alemu, accusing him of taking a photo of them without their consent. After the exchange of words, the altercation quickly escalated, with Alemu having his phone snatched out of his hand, before he was allegedly physically assaulted by the group of friends. He is now in hospital with injuries that may require surgery.

Rundle’s Tweet reads: ‘Internet fame or celebrity grants no one the right to violate the law. The actions that put our victim in the hospital are crimes, plain & simple. Social media personality Benjamin Kapelushnik, (AKA Benjamin Kicks or Kickz) has been charged with Strong Arm Robbery’.

Currently, Benjamin Kickz has been processed into the Dade County Jail, and is waiting on a Bond Hearing. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on developments!
