This BEAMS x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 Is Arriving in October

The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 has been on a run of late.

In recent weeks, the 2008 running silhouette has been tapped by Canadian tastemaker JJJJound, who wrapped the silhouette in clean silver makeups before ASICS announced a major campaign celebrating the GEL-Kayano 14.

Now, we’re getting a look at a new version created by BEAMS, which features a gamut of technical details. The shoe includes a range of heavy-duty features, including GORE-TEX waterproofing, a Fidlock buckle across the forefoot, and the shoe’s statement detail: a removable mosquito net that attaches to the shoe’s upper.

All in all, the design evokes Tom Sachs’ Mars Yard Overshoe design but is perhaps executed in a more practical manner.
