ASICS Reveal Australian Olympic Team GEL-Quantum 360
When it comes to Olympic-edition sneakers, Australia have over the years, and are here to continuing the winning run for Tokyo 2020. Revealing a special edition in team colours, this athlete-exclusive colourway is loaded with plenty of ‘straya’ flavour.
The ASICS Australian Olympic team shoe was specifically designed to be worn in the searing heat of a Tokyo summer. Built on the lightweight and breathable GEL-Quantum 360 silhouette, the sneaker is covered in Aussie green and gold, with mesh used for the upper. Working closely with members of the Australian team, ASICS inject some individuality into the design by adding subtle patriotic team references on the exterior, most notably the coat of arms on the rear. However, there’s a surprise inside that packs a real punch, with an Aussie boxing kangaroo graphic on the insoles.
Unfortunately, the limited number of pairs will be exclusive to competing athletes from Australia’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic team. Don’t be surprised to see a few pop up on the secondary market, but we expect them to be worth their weight in gold!
