This ASICS GEL-LYTE III Looks Ready for Augusta National

Sneaker brands are gearing up for the upcoming 2023 Masters, and are no different. Although not a golf shoe, this upcoming looks to be heading to Augusta National and would pair up nicely with ASICS athlete Hideki Matsuyama’s green jacket from his win at the 2021 Masters.
The Masters are notoriously strict about their intellectual properties, sending cease and desist letters in the past for sneakers that felt like they were stepping on the toes of August National.
Although not officially affiliated with the tournament, Shamrock Green suede makes up the upper and overlays. Different lengths of suede are used on the sneaker, giving the sneaker some depth with yellow accenting featured on the liner, eyelets, and mudguard. Subtle GEL-LYTE III branding is stamped on the lateral heel in black, with ASICS GEL branding debossed on the heel in yellow and red, respectively. White is featured on the midsole with a grey heel clip with a cream outsole, putting the finishing touches on the sneaker.
THE ASICS GEL-LYTE III ‘Shamrock’ is set to drop on March 28, 2023, exclusively on Malbon Golf for $140. A wider release is set for April 6, 2023, via ASICS online and at select retailers. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
