ASICS GEL-Lyte III Gets a Sustainable Makeover on the CM 1.95
The has received a sustainable makeover and is now one of the lowest carbon emitting sneakers on the current market. ASICS have committed to a roadmap that will see them achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, with this new GEL-Lyte III a step in the right direction – allowing them to ‘reimagine the future of the planet for the next generation’.
The design starts with a white mesh base and sock liner that are constructed of recycled materials and a solution-dyed polyester. Up next is a structured overlay, also in white but with grey and white stitching. This section has been updated with a new taping structure that uses less material and energy during the production process. Last but not least, the main design innovation on this iteration is the carbon-negative foam used to construct the midsole and sockliner, which is actually softer and more forgiving than the standard model.
The ASICS GEL-Lyte III CM 1.95 ‘Cream/Glacier Grey’ is available now at ASICS in both men’s and women’s sizing for $160. Hit the links below to cop.
