Digital artist Str4nge Thing has used artificial intelligence to create the Str4nge Thing collection, juxtaposing Nike sneakers and tracksuits against Renaissance-era backdrops.
Str4nge Thing describes the anachronistic imagery as inspired by the Mandela effect, a phenomenon that refers to collective false memories. The figures in the collection are dressed in Nike tech fleece and sneakers, as imagined by AI software, which exaggerates proportions and silhouettes to create a captivating set of images that shows the creative potential of AI.
The artist has also included one rendering of a Nike sneaker that looks like it could be an Air Max design from 2050.
