Another sacai x Nike VaporWaffle Will Be Arriving Soon
In the past few months, Chitose Abe’s has been back making sneaker headlines, most notably for the release of her brand new VaporWaffle. A highly anticipated release, it was the follow-up to the ultra-successful LDWaffle that had a seismic effect when it hit shelves back in 2019. Following a similar aesthetic to sacai’s previous releases, this silhouette continues with the double-up theme. After releasing in two, at the beginning of November, official imagery has come through of a ‘Tour Yellow’ edition which may mean it’s dropping very soon.
The hyped model has been composed using a two-material mix of mesh and suede that combines for a lightweight build and sleek design. The mesh along the side panels on both the lateral and medial look to be completely see-through, allowing for some coloured sock action to accentuate the colourway. Elsewhere, we’ve been blessed with all of sacai’s signature details – including the dual Swoosh and tongue, massively enlarged sole unit, and double the laces.
For colour-blocking, sacai have slapped the model silly in a mix of ‘Tour Yellow’, ‘Stadium Green’, while the popular ‘Sail’ hue gives off that vintage worn-in vibe.
At this stage, there’s nothing concrete in regards to a release date, but we do hear that the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle ’Tour Yellow’ may drop before the end of this year.
