Another 25th Anniversary Nike Air Max 97 Surfaces
In 2022, the turns 25 and Team Swoosh are looking to celebrate with an onslaught of clean colourways including this brand new ‘Metallic Silver’ joint.
Harking back to the original of 1997, the ‘Metallic Silver’ takes cues from its much older sibling. The upper sees a a grey mesh base set the tone with lighter-hued piping down the sides and reflective detailing. An iridescent addition sits behind the usual leather panels and interestingly, Nike have opted out of the regular contrast Swoosh branding. Down below is a completely translucent full-length Air unit and crispy white midsole.
The rumour mill has been rife leading up to the 25th anniversary, and we’re expecting a soiree of everyone’s favourite big-bubbled colourways. So far the reported guest list consists of the OG Christian Tresser-designed ‘Silver Bullet’ and the vibrant
It’s a Nike Air Max 97 party, and the ‘Metallic Silver’ is invited! We’ve heard no word on a drop date as of yet but it looks to be touching down in 2022 so keep those eyes peeled. We’ll keep you updated when we hear more.
