‘All Gone 2020’ Looks Back on One of the Craziest Years For Sneakers and Street Culture
While 2020 may have handed out more Ls than any year before it, there were actually many moments worth preserving. Michael Dupouy of La MJC has been chronicling these milestones since 2006 with his All Gone series, and the 2020 edition is one of the densest compilations yet.
In a year that was marked with an unpredictable release schedule, yet another wave of craze for collaborations, and dozens of Nike Dunks, All Gone 2020 picks the best of the best for cultural preservation. There are notorious releases like the Ben & Jerry’s x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Chunky Dunky’, to relatively sleeper hits in Reebok’s colabs with Adsum and Brain Dead. Beyond the sneaker realm, the latest and greatest paraphernalia from OG entities KAWS and Stussy are also included.
There are two hardcover options this year that were designed by Eric Yahnker. One depicts Michael Jordan breaking free from angels and demons, and the other is of – for some reason – LeBron James and Yoda. Like every annual, All Gone 2020 is released in limited quantities – 1000 copies of each cover – and is already sold out from the webstore. However, you can try a handful of international boutiques to see if any are still floating around.
