Aleali May Shares Another Look at the Air Jordan 4 'Veterans Day' PE

sneaker news

Aleali May is back at it again with Jordan Brand – this time with a PE release Air Jordan 4 – brought to life with some super personal inspiration. Images first circulated earlier this year, however now we've been offered a brand new look.

As its name suggests, the Air Jordan 4 'Veterans Day' PE is a celebratory sneaker which is a nod to its namesake, and as May has stated, the shoe is something special for her dad who was involved in the military up until 2013.

May said, 'Made something special with Jordan Brand for my Dad, in celebration of Veterans Day 11/11. After basic training in 1990, he entered Desert Storm, and retired in 2013. Back in high school I lived with my dad while he was stationed at Fort Carson. Definitely had some good times at summer camp on base, or when we’d stop by his office, 3-29FA Alpha Battery. I can say my concept of traveling and perseverance was from him, amongst a whole lotta other things. He pulled out his uniform and switched out the tags for his patches. Kept it Friends & Family for this one!'

Featuring brown and green camouflage print all over, other key details include suede midsoles and heel tabs, and a purple quilted insole which is where you'll find May's signature logo. In place of the 'Flight' tongue branding and adding a further militaristic touch is the 'Jumpman Compass' patch, made removable with Velcro.

Check out the updated selection of imagery of this Friends and Family release, as shared on May's Instagram below.
