The Air Trainer 1 Mid 'Chlorophyll’ Returns for 35th Anniversary
Debuting in 1987 as a multi-sports performance shoe, Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Trainer 1 was originally popularised by athletes like Bo Jackson and John McEnroe, who famously wore them in their quest for glory on the baseball pitch, football field, and tennis court.
This year, the Air Trainer 1 Mid 'Chlorophyll’ will return to celebrate the model's 35th anniversary, the silhouette appearing in its classic grey nubuck overlays and black Swooshes, mudguards and midfoot straps. Green accents highlight the tongues, eyelets and heels. Perhaps most importantly for sneakerheads, the release will come housed in its OG box design and packaging.
Ready to dominate all sports? We can expect the Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid ‘Chlorophyll’ to arrive Stateside over the coming weeks (the sneaker has already hit shelves overseas). The retail price is locked at $120.
In the meantime, make sure to reacquaint yourself with the Nike SB Dunk ‘Chlorophyll’ release of 2020, a skate crossover that no doubt did much to extend the hype around the model’s long-anticipated return.
