Thunderstorm! Among Jordan Brand's recent Air Jordan retro lineup, the Air Jordan 4 'Red Thunder' has been the most susceptible to postponements: it was originally supposed to release in the early days of October 2021, then got pushed back to December ... then got pushed back once again, to January. As the old adage goes though, good things come to those who wait – and the 'Red Thunder' is finally supposed to strike this upcoming weekend. Ahead of its long-anticipated arrival (it was first rumoured all the way back in March 2021), we're getting up close and personal with this new take on Michael Jordan's first signature silhouette via on-foot photos from @yankeekicks.

'Beauty in simplicity' seems to be key on the 'Red Thunder'. It doesn't feature a wild mix of materials, intricate colourblocking or an abundance of detail: just a crisp combo of two signature Jordan Brand shades that serves as a of remix 2012's Air Jordan 4 'Thunder' by replacing yellow with red. Even though it's not an OG colourway it has the flair of one – possibly why it's garnered so much acclaim in the lead-up to its release!

Look for the 'Red Thunder' to make its global debut tomorrow, January 15, and check out our Where to Buy the Air Jordan 4 'Red Thunder' guide as well to see where you can snag 'em. Men's pairs are priced at $190, grade school pairs at $140, preschool pairs at $80 and toddler pairs at $70.
