Potential First Look at the Air Jordan 37

Air Jordan 37 Potential First Look

Jordan Brand's annual release of a new Air Jordan silhouette is always met with a great deal of anticipation from hoop shoe fans and Michael Jordan stans alike – and it looks like the Air Jordan 37 may be taking flight soon. Instagram sneaker reviewer and longtime NikeTalk member @23mj88 recently posted a leaked AJ 37 tech sheet and a handful of grainy photos that purportedly show Boston Celtics star and Jordan Brand team member Jayson Tatum rocking a pair.

The resolution on the images in question is quite low but it's still easy to see that the Air Jordan 37 draws a healthy dose of inspiration from the Air Jordan 7's slender collar and sharply-shaped angles. This continues Jordan Brand's recent stretch of throwback inspiration, as the Air Jordan 36 drew from the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 35 nodded to the Air Jordan 5. From a tech standpoint, the supposed Air Jordan 37 offers a hybrid cushioning setup with double-stacked forefoot Zoom Air and Jordan Brand's Formula 23 foam (also used in the Luka 1) in the heel plus a carbon fibre shank for support and a light-yet-durable Leno Weave upper.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand have yet to announce a release date for the Air Jordan 37 or even confirm that the sneaker shown above is it. It's also worth noting that although the above photos do show Tatum wearing the silhouette, he rocked the Air Jordan 36 during the Celtics' victory over the Golden State Warriors in game 1 of the NBA finals.
