‘Dark Driftwood’ Coats the Women’s Air Jordan 3 Tex
2023 has been another step in the right direction for more women’s exclusive retros, in part thanks to ‘Future 50 for Her’ initiative. The project not only endeavours to drop more women’s exclusive colourways from retros to fresh drops, but it also shines a spotlight on female designers for the Swoosh and Jordan Brand. Next up to fulfil that mission and form part of Jumpman’s 2024 Fall collection is the ‘Dark Driftwood’ TEX.
The treatment is a mixture of an earthy aesthetic with similar tones to the recent AJ3, rocking a chic mix of 'Dark Driftwood', 'Sail', 'Hemp', 'Velvet Brown', 'Brilliant Orange', and white. It’s early days for reports of this colourway, so there’s no leaked pics available. But based on the colourway title and the concept shot from Sneaker Files, we’re expecting the base colour scheme to be carried by a brown upper, spiced up with pops of vibrant orange and offset by the darker tones of the laces and the classic Tinker Hatfield elephant print. Topping off the design is a sleek 'Sail' midsole with visible Air heel units sandwiched between a 'Velvet Brown' midsole flourish and its matching rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 3 TEX ‘Dark Driftwood’ is scheduled for a July 2024 release with a $200 price tag. Expect the woodland colourway to land in women's sizing at the usual Jordan Brand retailers as well as Nike.com.
