The Air Jordan 12 Low Golf Tees Off with ‘Laser’ Precision
Michael Jordan’s love for golf has been well documented over the decades, and his encompassing Jordan Brand has followed suit with an ever-growing selection of signature models remade for the green. The latest addition to this collection is the Air Jordan 12 Low Golf, which incorporates the popular ‘Laser’ finish used on the brand’s best models since the early 2000s.
At a distance, these shoes just look like another clean pair of low-cut AJ12 in a simple white colourway with black soles and blue trim. However, a closer look reveals finer details specially made for golf use. The most obvious of these is the solid plasticky outsole that replicates the model’s OG tread, but has the addition of spikes on the toe bumper for extra grip, plus the screw-in circular studs. Naturally, this means these shoes are great for walking on grass, but not so much other surfaces. The leather upper also means there is already some degree of water resistance; don’t be surprised if there is also a waterproof layer underneath like other golf-modded Jays. On the ‘Laser’ front, various motifs and references to Jordan’s career and moments significant to the 12 are seen on the medial and lateral mudguard.,
The Air Jordan 12 Low Golf ‘Laser’ is expected to arrive later this year.
