Paying homage to the Chicago Bulls 1995-96 NBA Championship season (in which also won the league MVP), the ‘72-10' has finally arrived via official imagery. Leaked pictures of the model originally in January, and sneakerheads have been patiently waiting for official Jumpman shots ever since.
First hitting shelves in 2015, the Air Jordan 11 took inspiration from the very same model Michael Jordan laced throughout the Bulls' unstoppable 1995-96 campaign, albeit replacing some of its hallmark material characteristics. Overhauling the traditional patent leather mudguards for an eye-catching glossy finish, the colourway is also dressed in classic black tumbled leather with matching overlays of suede. Jumpman branding arrives via the tongues, insoles and heels. On the inside tongue, a tag reads ‘inspired by the most historic season led by the greatest player ever.’ Down below, classic translucent white outsoles complete the design.
The sneakers will also come in a special edition ‘72-10’ box extending the storytelling around the release.
Look for the Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’ to arrive on May 14. The retail price is $190.
