Jordan Brand's Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT '25 Years in China' Boasts Wear-Away Uppers
2022 marks a quarter-century of Jordan Brand in China, and the Jumpman's first 25 years in the Chinese market have been nothing short of action-packed! They've created Air Jordan retros inspired by Chinese culture and landmarks, whipped up special PEs for CBA star Guo Ailun and even won a nearly decade-long legal battle against Qiaodan Sports, a Chinese sportswear company that imitated their logos and name ('Qiaodan' is 'Jordan' in Chinese). Of course, there's no better way to celebrate the ride than with some special kicks, so Jordan Brand have cooked up an Air Jordan 12 Low and an Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT '25 Years in China,' the latter of which just received a full set of official images.
Takedowns of beloved Air Jordans can be met with scorn from sneakerheads, but the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT has long received a warm reception due to its comfort and respectfully-altered look. The '25 Years in China' boasts a light blue tinted upper that fades away with wear to reveal a rich blue base layer, channelling the vibe of 2014's legendary Lance Mountain x Air Jordan 1.
Besides this special detail, other featured embellishments include anniversary-centric tongue branding and multi-colour outsole trim. Under the insole sits a full-length Zoom Air footbed for upgraded comfort that matches the modernized look.
Expect the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT '25 Years in China' to touch down in the coming weeks. An exact date of release has yet to be revealed but is sure to surface soon.
