The Air Jordan 1 ‘Twist 2.0’ Doubles Down on Hairy Jays
Jordan Brand appear to be reprising their ‘Twist’ concept with a sequel to the Air Jordan 1 that first released in 2019. Appropriately called the ‘Twist 2.0’, this edition keeps the familiar furry overlays and swaps out the previous white panels for shades of light grey.
In the images shared above by frequent leaker @woganwodeyang, texture is key on these AJ1s. Also observe JB’s attention to detail on the hairy panels as they alternate the grain direction from horizontal to vertical. The light grey leather inserts on the toe box, mid panel and ankle collar trim are reminiscent of the ‘Georgetown’ release from earlier this year. What’s uncommon is the silver badge-like ‘Wings’ logo on the ankle, which was also used on the original ‘Twist’ release. Finishing touches include a black nylon tongue, black laces and tonal grey lining. Note benne: as was the case with its predecessor, the ‘Twist 2.0’ may end up being a women’s release – so double check sizing before purchasing to avoid disappointment.
As is the case with many Jordan leaks, these 1s may not been seen again for months, if not until next. And also inevitable is more images and on-foot shots emerging in the weeks to come, so stay tuned for those.
