Air Jordan 1s Are the Most-Searched Sneakers of 2022, Says eBay Data
The is showing no signs of slowing down, according to new data. The online auction and sales platform has pulled some figures that indicate the market is still very interested in this shoe – in fact, it’s the most-searched sneaker of 2022.
November’s release of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Lost and Found’ was one of the year’s biggest sneaker events, which caused a sizeable ripple on . As their stats show, global sales of AJ1s on eBay spiked by 88 per cent from the week of November 13 versus the week of November 6.
Previous major AJ1 releases have also resulted in big bumps in data. Between the months of December 2021 to February 2022, the ‘Patent Bred’ release and restock generated, on average, 135,000 searches for the Air Jordan 1 daily. Besides this peak period, there has been an average of over 100,000 searches each day for the model.
This constant interest has crowned the AJ1 as eBay’s most-searched sneaker of 2022, which, according to the platform, eclipsed searches by a factor of two-and-a-half and the by four times!
