For sneaker lovers, 'Black+Red=Bred' is an equation that's as simple as 1+1=2. It's basic sneaker knowledge and a nickname that originated on the Air Jordan 1 before spreading to other Jordan Brand models like the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 11. However, it's broken down in full on the Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Bred', a recently-revealed style that has now been spotlighted in a set of on-foot photos by @yankeekicks.
This 'Bred' Air Jordan 1 Mid replicates the colourblocking scheme of its high-cut predecessor to a T, but differentiates itself with a tonal repeating print that reads 'Black' on the upper's black pieces and 'Red' on the red ones – just in case you were having trouble deducing what was what! Though the colours and text are different, this all-over print detail is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1 'Rebellionaire', another AJ 1 slated to release in the coming months. The shoe's most obvious callout to its nickname, however, appears on the white midsole via a stamped 'Black+Red=Bred' hit.
An official date of arrival for the Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Bred' has yet to be announced, as does a retail price. However, it's not unreasonable to expect it to touch down this summer.
