PSA: There’s nothing wrong with the Air Jordan 1 Mid! In fact, the underrated silhouette has been doing plenty of damage in the sneaker industry of late, the model recently appearing in the interminable ‘Bred’ colourway as well as an Off-White-esque in-line edition.

The latest edition is one of the more unique designs of the silhouette in recent months, the Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Africa’ bringing a textural diversity somewhat reminiscent of the ‘Fearless Ones’ pack.

Manufactured in elephant-like leathers on the toe caps and heels, the AJ1 utilises a more crumpled burgundy texture for the collars and forefoot. Taking aesthetic cues from the vast geological diversity of Africa, the edition opts for a combination of natural dusty roses and earthy browns for contrast. Branding appears via the white Swoosh, which is rendered in an aged, cracked aesthetic to sit comfortably within the broader aesthetic. The African continent is then printed on the left heel, while the iconic Jumpman logo is emblazoned on the right.

While we don’t currently have official release details for the Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Africa’, make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
