Get This 'Bred' in the Air Jordan 1 LV8D
It was only going to be a matter of time, but will be releasing a black and red – best known as 'Bred' – colourway of their upcoming lifestyle model. The somewhat divisive women's style has already stoked plenty of Internet chatter before it has even officially hit the market, so the inclusion of an original palette will only add another discussion point.
Of the various permutations of the AJ1 over the years, the LV8D edition actually leaves the upper alone – even going so far as using the OG low-cut upper pattern. This is evident in the larger heel tab bearing the 'Wings' logo and properly sized Swoosh. Being a lifestyle play, this model does add some more premium touches, such as a leather tongue and plush lining.
But, of course, the hot topic here is that unmissable platform sole. While far from the first time a Swoosh classic has had some inches added underfoot, JB show considerable restraint in enlarging the AJ1's midsoles. No superfluous elements have been added to the heightened sides, and the only deviations to the tread are the extra herringbone traction on the heel and toe portions.
By pure merit of being an OG colourway, this could be the best Air Jordan 1 LV8D yet.
