Update January 24, 2024: We finally know – sort of – when the Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Howard University' silhouette is dropping. According to @zsneakerheadsz on Instagram, the sought-after design will be available this coming holiday season. Other than that, an official price point and release date have yet to be confirmed by Jordan Brand. Stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more details.

Howard University joined the Jordan Brand family in Summer 2022 and the Jumpman blessed the historic HBCU with some Air Jordan 6 PEs last fall. Now coming off of a Men’s NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 1992, HU got the PE treatment, joining UNC, UCLA, Marquette, Oklahoma, and Georgetown with an Air Jordan 1 Low PE.

Thanks to @englishsole, we get a detailed look at the sneaker. Cream leather makes up the upper with red cracked leather used on the overlays. Navy accents the sneaker, with the faux stingray Swoosh on the quarter panels with a mini Swoosh appearing on the mudguard’s lateral side. Howard Bison branding is seen on the insole with a satin red quilted liner, giving the sneaker a luxe touch. The tongue tag is seen in navy and cream and cream again is seen on the Wings logo stamped on the heeltab.

Cream is used on the rubbed midsole with a buttery gum outsole finishing off the sneaker.

The Air Jordan 1 Low PE ‘Howard University’ will not see a release to the public as it will stay within the HU friends and family. For all things Jordan Brand, keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker.
