Jordan Brand's loyal legions of Air Jordan 1 lovers were surely disheartened when it was reported that the Air Jordan 1 'Chenille' release would be pushed back from February to April. However, @yankeekicks has provided a temporary salve to the sting of supply chain-induced disappointment – a common occurrence in the modern-day sneaker game – with the most detailed set of on-foot images we've seen yet!
The 'Chenille' bears a lot of similarities to the white and red Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 from the 'New Beginnings' pack but sets itself apart with special materials. Chief among these is the varsity jacket-style chenille fabric Swoosh that gives it its name, plus a grey corduroy tongue and a soft grey collar. Its official colourway designation is 'Light Iron Ore/Varsity Red-Sail'.
A women's style that'll be hitting shelves in an extended size run so the large-footed fellas can get their fix as well, the 'Chenille' should be touching down sometime in April but an exact date of arrival is still pending. You can expect to pay $170 for a pair when they do release.
