At the helm of Aimé Leon Dore is Teddy Santis, who’s recently been offered the job as the creative director of New Balance’s Made in USA sub-division. While his position officially starts in 2022, the man is wasting no time making an impact, and has recently taken to his socials to debut his latest in-house ALD colab.
The colourways and materials remain very similar to the 2020 colab. All-white leather remains on the upper with perforated 80s-style holes covering both sides. Retro-style branding has been scattered all over alongside specialised tongue tags. Down below is a pre-yellowed sole unit that plays into the 80s aesthetic.
No word on an exact release date for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R has surfaced, however Santis has said they’ll arrive in the Northern Spring in 2022.
