Yeezy Supply Stealthily Released the Yeezy BSKTBL KNIT 3D 'Slate Blue'

adidas Yeezy BSKTBL KNIT 3D 'Slate Blue'

No matter if you want to call him Ye, Yeezy, Kanye West or something else entirely, you can't deny that the man behind the adidas Yeezy line is a master of surprise. For his latest trick, he's shock-dropped the Yeezy BSKTBL KNIT 3D in a 'Slate Blue' colourway.

Originally teased by the crew at @yeezymafia back in October, the BSKTBL KNIT 3D is a spiritual successor to the Yeezy Quantum, and bears some similarities to the Yeezy Quantum 'Teal Blue'. Though we didn't expect to see the BSKTBL KNIT 3D until 2022, its drop at midnight EST on Monday made it a late addition to 2021's Yeezy lineup, and its debut colourway was much more muted than the one seen in the above-mentioned mockups.

Of course, the jury is still out on the model as an actual performance hoop shoe, but it appears to offer an upgrade over the Quantum thanks to a full Primeknit upper with a high-cut sock collar, dressed in shades of grey, blue and black. Just like the Quantum, it's completed by a large heel counter and a full-length BOOST midsole.

Having already sold out (obviously), its product page on the Yeezy Supply webstore has been replaced by a countdown clock that spotlights the Yeezy BOOST 700 'Faded Azure'. If you weren't up for the drop last night, there's no need to worry – you'll have another shot at the Yeezy BSKTBL KNIT 3D 'Slate Blue' come December 18, with a retail price of $300.
