First Look: adidas Yeezy BOOST 700 High ‘Wave Runner’ Sample
The ‘Wave Runner’ is still one of the best sneakers to come out of Calabasas. Originally landing in 2017, the ironic dad shoe was initially met with mixed reactions, but quickly became one of the most coveted sneakers in the vast Yeezy catalogue.
Throwing its weight around in numerous updates and colourways, sneakerheads still patiently wait for OG ‘Wave Runner’ colourways year after year, the latest retro landing in 2022. Now, the unstoppable silhouette has appeared in a high-top variation, shared via Yeezy Mafia.
Again, all of Steven Smith’s superlative design DNA is present in the high-top version, the grey mesh and leather uppers mirroring its progenitor. The only addition is of course the higher collar and green tumbled leather panels on the mid-foot.
While there’s no official information whether these will make an appearance at retail, make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
