Kanye West and adidas' chunky Yeezy BOOST 700 may be the ultimate Yeezy sneaker. 2022 marks its sixth year on the market – it debuted as part of West's Yeezy Season 5 fashion show in February 2017 – and it's showing no signs of slowing down. Now, it's set to release in what may be its loudest colourway yet: 'Hi-Res Red.'

Revealed by sneaker leaker @ryivibes, the 'Hi-Res Red' takes some forefoot and midsole cues from the grey, green, orange and black construction of the popular Yeezy BOOST 700 'Wave Runner,' but differentiates itself with an eponymous bright red hue that covers the quarter panels, collar, tongue and outsole. Burgundy is also introduced into the mix on the laces, toebox and BOOST-stuffed midsole.

With other bold 700 colourways like the 'Wash Orange,' 'Bright Blue,' 'Enflame Amber' and 'Sulfur Yellow,' the 'Hi-Res Red' is establishing a colourful new design language for the Yeezy line, most of whose past footwear had tended to fall on the monochromatic, earthy side of the spectrum. We've yet to receive a release date, but it's likely to hit shelves this summer and will retail for $300.
