adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 'Onyx' To Release Fall 2022
News on this release was originally published on December 24, 2021.
Update February 11, 2022: Late last year leaked imagery surfaced of the blacked-out Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 'Onyx' and now Yeezy Mafia has come through with some fresh pics and info. Interestingly, this pair features a regular lacing system instead of the new Yeezy Infinity laces. It also boasts an adidas Globe insole logo hinting that sustainable materials may have been used! Kanye West and adidas' Yeezy line has become more experimental than ever in 2021, thanks to singular silhouettes like the Yeezy 450 and Yeezy Knit Runner Boot. However, even with its experiments and expansions it's still got plenty of room for seminal models like the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 – which has just been revealed in a forthcoming 'Onyx' colourway.
Unearthed by a tag team leak from @pvasneakers and @yeezyinflence, the 'Onyx' is one of the most straightforward Yeezy BOOST 350 V2s we've seen in quite a while. It doesn't have the whirling patterns of the 'MX Rock' or the bright slash of the 'Beluga Reflective', instead opting for a simple black upper split by a dark grey side stripe that wouldn't look out of place as the fourth member of Black Friday 2016's Yeezy lineup. @pvasneakers also indicated in an Instagram post that he'd first revealed the 'Onyx' back in 2017 – talk about a release delay!
Currently, the 'Onyx' is set for a rather opaque fall 2022 release and will retail for $220. We'll be sure to get more solid drop info your way as soon as it's made available.
