adidas Shoe Sales Grow, Nike Declines

Rome wasn't built in a day, but a sneaker empire may have been built by Ye – show that adidas sold almost 25% more sneakers in the last 12 months compared to the previous year! There won't be as many bottles popped in Beaverton, though, as Nike reported a fall of just over nine percent in sales. Yeezy season surely played a part in the Three Stripes resurgence, but it's the that really put the numbers on the scoreboard, becoming the highest selling running shoe of the period.
Some qualifiers are required here, though, because you've got to remember that overall Nike are still crushing the dollars game, so adi's gains and even Under Armour's (up 70.5%!) don't demand anywhere near the amount of shoes to be shifted as the Swoosh would to see a surge of their own. Nevertheless, adi and UA will rightly be celebrating the money grab and looking to put even more heat on Nike this year. We all love a bit of competition, don't we?
