adidas Received Over 330,000 Job Applications This Year
Mark King, the president of North American branch, spoke recently to about the brand's growth and its plans for the future.
The Three Stripes are planning a major expansion at their Portland HQ and, as part of this expansion, they'll be increasing the hub's workforce from 1700 to 2800 employees. The planned growth has triggered a bit of controversy, too, with neighbours allegedly receiving letters from adidas offering to buy up their homes. According to King, it'll take three years until their Portland campus expansion is complete, and they'll start taking on new hires then.
However, if you're keen to jump on-board Team Trefoil, join the (extremely large) club! Since January, the Stripes have received over 330,000 job applications, and that's just counting those submitted within North America. For scale, that's roughly half Portland's population vying for a gig at the company. Obviously, you're going to have to polish up both your kicks and your resumé pretty nicely if you want to score a job with adidas.
The brand's growth shows no signs of slowing; check out The Oregonian's interview with King to learn more details about the company's planned expansion.
