Within the PFW showing, a number of co-branded soccer jerseys were a highlight – one of which was a preview of an upcoming collaboration with Jamaica’s national football team. Today, further details on the collaboration have been officially revealed, confirming that Wales Bonner has designed the first collection from adidas’ four-year deal with the Jamaican Football Federation for both the men’s and women’s teams.
The three-way partnership sees all parties involved celebrate the style and spirit of Jamaican culture, with the collection perfectly encapsulating the beloved fusion of football, culture and fashion. Overall, the four-piece game day apparel range includes home and away kits, a pre-match jersey and a reversible anthem jacket, all of which are available to buy. All materials used to create the collection are 100 per cent recycled.
On the release of the collection, Grace Wales Bonner said, ‘The opportunity to design the first on-pitch kits for the Jamaican national teams with adidas Football has been such a special opportunity.
