Chicago native Derrick Rose continues to spin back the clock on the NBA hardwood, the New York Knick getting plenty of MVP chants at Madison Square Garden during the 2021-2022 season.

It’s not only Rose’s game that’s inspired hoopers over the years, the livewire point guard has also recruited plenty of sneakerheads during his journey in the NBA, the classic adidas D Rose 1.5 now scheduled to return in its iconic red and white colourway.

Gracing Rose’s heels during his record-breaking MVP run in 2010-2011 (Rose became the youngest player ever to receive the award), the D Rose 1.5 silhouette was originally a lightweight alternative to the D Rose 1.

Joining the recently announced ‘St. Patrick’s Day’ colourway, the D Rose signature model has stayed extremely popular in China, which makes a 10 year retro cycle a no-brainer. Manufactured in Sprintskin upper with mesh and synthetic leather, the supportive lightweight Sprintframe is one of the signature elements of the model. Lightstrike is this time used for the cushioning, replacing the legacy adiprene+ seen on the OG.

Look for the grey, white and red rendition to land early 2022.
