The NBA will celebrate its 25th anniversary of the All-Star Weekend in Cleveland next year, and we’re sure to get plenty of sneaker heat to mark the occasion.
One of the most coveted dates for sneakerheads across the globe, 2022 looks to be no exception, with adidas rumoured to exhume the EQT Elevation for the occasion. Rebranded as the adidas Crazy 97 EQT, the model is the very same style Kobe Bryant wore during the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest (which saw Bryant claim the title as a then-18-year-old rookie. The Black Mamba competed against Ray Allen, Michael Finley and Bob Sura for the title).
Its colourway pays homage to Cleveland’s retro aesthetic palette, Bryant was of course famously signed with the Three Stripes from 1996 to 2003.
Look for the adidas Crazy 97 EQT ‘All-Star 1997’ to drop sometime in February 2022.
In the meantime, make sure to check out Kobe Bryant’s best-ever adidas sneakers.
