Acg - Defining Sport Utility For The City
For over 30 years, there has been a niche group that truly understood its potential. Around 2008 it near almost disappeared from existence completely, with a few questionable products emerging with its name, but not its true essence at heart. This 2014, is reborn as NikeLab ACG. To say we are excited would be an understatement.
There has been a lot of hype feeding around the , with most colour-ups that have landed in stores, disappearing just as quick as they landed. You can expect these ACG joints to disappear even faster! Apart from looking like a street hiker made for ninjas – which we love – this version of the Chukka boasts Defender Repellent Systems – a protective skin added to the toe and heel creating an all over water resistant situation – a synthetic wool yarn double knitted into the lining for warmth and a soft feel, plus a rugged adaptation of the super-soft Free outsole. Additionally it has huge ACG letters emblazoned across the heel – which the label heads are going to love. Here is where it really gets saucy. For the ACG collection, Nike has enlisted the help of Berlin-based Errolson Hugh, the co-founder behind Acronym, enlisting his vast knowledge of fit – and essentially everything modern day ninja. Knowing Hugh's work, our minds have been spinning out since we first laid our eyes upon the ACG 2 in 1 Men's Jacket. While the ACG we know and love was full of wacky colours and daring creations, this joint right here is straight game-over, fuego, fire, next level, how ever you want to put it, it is the real MVP! Waterproof GORE-TEX three-layer fabric, integrated liners, deployable hoods, 3M reflective graphics – we're not saying it's revolutionary by any regards, but it is damn impressive none the less.
Accompanying pieces include ACG Tech Fleece pants, in black, ACG Tech Fleece Funnel Sweatshirt, in black, ACG Pocket T-shirt, in black and ACG Responder Backpack – in black of course!
