Revealing the story and inspiration behind this exclusive colab – both majorly coveted and majorly limited – the short film draws a parallel between A Ma Maniére’s dedication to impactful storytelling with the origin story of the infamous Air Ship. With a focus on Atlanta and East Charlotte, the film is centred on the deep struggle of the Black and Brown community, highlighting the overcoming of doubt, adversity and systemic issues through the redemption and validation that comes from putting in countless hours of work in silence and anonymity.
The video stars Atlanta Dream head coach Tanisha Wright, Atlanta Dream players AD Durr, Aari McDonald, Rhyne Howard and Naz Hillmon, and a powerful musical performance from Charlotte-based rapper Reuben Vincent. You can check out the full video below.
