A Detailed Look at the NBA x Louis Vuitton Boot
The worlds of sport and high-end fashion collided earlier this year when the NBA announced a multi-year partnership with leading luxury house Louis Vuitton. The sneakersphere has been keeping a close eye on the French label ever since Off-White founder Virgil Abloh took over the reigns as the head menswear designer, and it was only a matter of time before we got a glimpse of his first collaborative footwear creations. Enter the NBA x Louis Vuitton Boot!
Detailed images of the boot have emerged, showing off a low-top build featuring premium suede base layer, laces, and midsoles in a classic brown hue. The accents are where things start to get wild, with the lateral midsole donning a trio of LV patterns. Additionally, circular lace loops, the midfoot ‘Vuitton’ bars, and branded tongue/insoles add even more Virgil-esque flair.
The NBA x Louis Vuitton collaboration also features a special LV-branded case for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, which we’re sure LeBron James and the Lakers are making good use of right now. Other items include monogrammed duffle bags and other yet-to-be-revealed footwear options.
We’re not sure when these will release to the public, but expect a drop before the end of the year.
