A-COLD-WALL* Spill Plaster All Over the Nike Air Max Plus 98
The enjoyed a blockbuster year in 2023. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the iconic model was revisited by everyone from to Hell, we even put together a rollicking paying tribute to the seven-bubbled beast!
Now, it looks like Samuel Ross’s imprint is extending the party into the new year, with ACW teasing new images of their TN 98 via social media. Covered in what looks like plaster, this one has been hard at work on house renovations! Somewhat ceramic in its aesthetics, fans have been quick to point out the sneaker’s similarity to classic ‘Bianchetto’ Maison Margiela techniques – applied to popular designs like the Tabi boots and recent Reebok collaborations.
Still, it looks like the sneaker retains elements of A-COLD-WALL*’s previous trio of TN 98s, including concealed ACW* bracket logos (sitting beneath the ridged TPU heel plates), transparent UV dual branding, and laser etching on the lateral Swoosh and compact squares.
Of course, ACW have become well-known for their industrial, architectural aesthetics, so the latest design doesn’t have any trouble slotting seamlessly into their signature vernacular. No current word on whether these will get an official release, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for details.
In the meantime, why not check out our on the rise of the Nike Air Max Plus!
