A Black and Gum sacai x Nike VaporWaffle has Surfaced
The x VaporWaffle was an important shoe of 2020. It had a seismic effect on the sneakersphere by selling out instantly upon release, and leaks about follow-up colourways have left fans hungry for the next batch from the high-profile collaborative duo. Most recently, a surfaced which flexed a new construction. Instead of opting for the usual mesh, it rocked a nylon or synthetic base. Off the back of that, yankeekicks has shared some on-foot imagery of a Black/Gum pair that uses the same construction and is sure to whet your appetite.
Out of all the VaporWaffle colourways that have been debuted, this joint is the most low-key and easy-to-wear, so no doubt there will be extra hype surrounding it.
The upper has been assembled using a mix of leather, nylon and suede. All the usual signature sacai features are present, with dual Swooshes, a double tongue, and exaggerated heel. Dressed almost completely in black, the only hit of contrast is the gum outsole that really accentuates the rugged nibs.
Release details regarding the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle in Black/Gum are still quite hazy at this point, but according to yankeekicks, we should be expecting them during the Northern Hemisphere’s Spring. Stay locked to SF for updates on the exact drop date.
