Release Date: Air Jordan 1 Low ‘World Make Japan’

Update August 31, 2023: The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘World Make Japan’ is arriving at select retailers starting next month, with raffles seeing staggered launches. atmos have confirmed that their raffle will commence on September 2.

‘Sashiko’ is back, this time gracing the Air Jordan 1 Low. The Japanese needlework technique popped off in the sneakersphere over the last few years, with many of the big-name brands contributing. Nike was a forerunner in this, so it’s no surprise they’re bringing it back again.

The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Sashiko’ has an aged aesthetic, with majority of the shoe dressed in white canvas with distressed denim overlays. The denim has the signature ‘Sashiko’ needlework, and the feature piece is the embroidered Jordan ball-and-wing logo on the heel. The midsoles contribute heavily to the aged look with patchy yellowing paint over the white. Black accents on the swoosh and outsoles top off the look.
