24 Kilates and KICKXOTIC Craft Highly Limited New Balance 990v3 ‘Gaudi’
Spanish-Thai boutique sneaker retailer 24 Kilates boasts a long history of collaborations, from Diadora, ASICS, Reebok, Mizuno and New Balance; they release an eclectic mix year in, year out. Having such an immense collaborative archive, you bet 24 Kilates have a few grail-worthy pairs on the books, one of them being the NB1700 ‘Gaudi’ from 2008.
With an outpost in Barcelona, the boutique was inspired by the country’s own Antoni Gaudi, a Spanish Architect who was a pioneering figure of the Art Nouveau movement. The NB1700 employed the architect’s signature use of colourful mosaics. Now, 24 Kilates are linking up with prominent custom sneaker brand KICKXOTIC to help celebrate the 15th anniversary of the legendary pair by crafting a highly limited run of bespoke New Balance 990v3s. KICKXOTIC build each pair with black Italian nubuck and suede, opting for the mosaic pattern in calf leather, once again paying homage to Antoni Gaudi.
Only 24 pairs of the highly limited KICKXOTIC x 24 Kilates 990v3 ‘Gaudi’ will be released. Stay locked to the boutique’s channels to keep updated.
