14-Year-Old Buys School Kids 150 Sneakers for Summer
A Tampa teen has provided new sneakers for the entire first and second grades of Booker T Washington Elementary.
The 14-year-old decided to help the kids after volunteering at their school for a day and seeing that many students were in need of new footwear. She started a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $2500 USD, but her story took off and she hauled in nearly three times that. Her initiative was able to buy 150 pairs of sneakers for kids before their summer break. Faith in humanity restored.
