Senior Global Content Editor

Sneaker Freaker is a world-renowned magazine, book producer, digital publisher and agency that requires a Senior Global Content Editor to work with a team of storytellers and creatives.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised and detail-oriented, have excellent writing skills, and be savvy across digital mediums. They will work closely with our editorial, creative and social teams to supply strategic solutions for branded and editorial content. Managing content schedules, developing best publishing practices and writing short- and long-form content will be required.
An appreciation of sneakers and streetwear is a foundation of this job, along with some knowledge of pop culture.
Role
– Produce engaging short-form posts, long-form features and social captions
– Manage content schedules with editorial and social teams
– Work with the managing editor to build and manage content calendar and processes
– Ideate, source news, and produce daily content
– Edit content when required to a high standard
Experience
– 3+ years experience as a journalist or content producer
– The ability to write, publish and edit content which leans into deeper storytelling
– Strong eye for detail and the instincts for a great story,
– Knowledge of digital publishing systems and social media
– Strong communication and research skills
– Highly organised and able to manage multiple briefs and projects
– Ability to work closely with a team and also operate independently
– Solid understanding of sneakers and street culture
– Ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines
– InDesign and Photoshop are a plus

Brand Partnerships Manager

As a prominent voice in the footwear industry, Sneaker Freaker boasts a strong digital game, a passion for print and fiery imaginations geared for creative campaign ideation.
We are looking for a vibrant brand partnerships manager to raise Sneaker Freaker’s profile across the UK and Europe through meaningful relationships and by working closely with retail and brand partners.
The successful candidate will have a strong network and existing connections to the sneaker industry.
Role
– Build relationships with partners and organisational stakeholders
– Utilise networks to secure new partners for Sneaker Freaker
– Research, develop, and pitch new strategies to improve partner communications
– Identify all viable sales opportunities
– Develop engaging sales presentations backed by relevant data and case studies
– Communicate with key partners regularly to ensure projects are developed and delivered on time
– Negotiate partnership agreements
– Work with marketing and editorial teams to ensure all partner campaigns run smoothly
Experience
– 3+ years of experience as a Brand Partnership Manager or a similar role
– Strong communication skills
– Customer-oriented attitude
– Excellent negotiation skills

Photographer

Location: Melbourne, Australia
Sneaker Freaker is a world-renowned magazine, digital publisher and creative agency that requires an experienced photographer to bring the unique Sneaker Freaker visual tone to life.
The ideal candidate is highly organised and detail-oriented, has a natural eye and is savvy across digital platforms. The ability to shoot and edit video is a huge advantage.
From fast turnaround off-foot shots to sparkling social content and insane 700-page books, the Sneaker Freaker tone of voice and visual style is irreverent, energetic and consistent. Our clients span all the major sportswear and skate brands, as well as luxury European fashion houses, so an understanding of contemporary trends across sneakers, sport, music, art and design is vital.
Skills
– Ensure all imagery produced adheres to the client brief and SF style guide
– Great eye for detail and stylish composition
– Work fast and independently under tight deadlines
– Consistent product styling
– Knowledge of different lighting techniques
– Highly efficient in Photoshop, including image handling and basic retouching
– Understanding of social media requirements
– Experience managing and directing models
This role must be performed from Sneaker Freaker’s Melbourne office.
All photography equipment will be supplied.
