The Spookiest and Steeziest Sneaker Releases of Halloween 2020

Reebok Boktober Pack

'Tis the season to be spooky! It has crept up fast, but Halloween is just a few days away. So, naturally, sneaker brands have been teasing us with their frightening October 31 offerings.

Nike have gone big this year with a slew of Air Maxes, a Foamposite, Air Trainer 3 and the classic skeletal Air Force 1. Reebok have also joined the fun with their ‘Boktober’ pack and insane Ghost Busters collaboration.

If you’ve spent most of this year planning your costume, and need a pair of kicks to match, don’t fret! We’ve got you covered with a release round-up of the best creepy creps and spooky sneakers that’ll be dropping this month.

Nike Air Max 97

When the images first surfaced of this slimy Nike Air Max 97, we were pretty shocked! It was something we just weren’t expecting to see. Dressed in a subdued black base with purple suede overlays, the sneaker is highlighted with slime green details seeping out of the stitching.

Looking to cop? Hit SNKRS on October 29.

Nike Air Trainer 3 ‘New Orchard’

If you hate garlic and direct sunlight, then these may be the shoes for you. This vampiric Nike Air Trainer 3 had sneakerheads excited when images first started to circle. The small details are what make this shoe special, such as the teeth on the tongue, bats on the heel, and blood-splattered midsoles. These are a must-have for any Air Trainer 3 fan trying to get their Dracula on this spooky season.

Hit SNKRS on October 29 to sink your teeth into this pair.

Nike Air Force 1 ‘Orange Skeleton’

Nike’s bone-chilling Air Force 1s are becoming quite the Halloween tradition, dropping in low-key white and black colourways over the two previous years. For 2020's iteration, Nike turned it up a notch in an orange ‘Starfish’ hue. Similarly to the 2018 and 2019 pairs, it boasts a glow-in-the-dark sole unit with a black Skeleton foot plastered along the sides.

If you need these to complete your costume, then hit SNKRS and Footpatrol on October 29.

Reebok ‘Boktober’ Pack

Reebok joined the Halloween 2020 celebrations with the debut of their ‘Boktober’ pack. Featuring three shoes - Question Mid, Shaqnosis and Kamikaze 2 - the collection features the spookiest get-ups in the sneakersphere.

The Reebok Question Mid ‘Ankle Reaper’ boasts an all-over ‘Alabaster’ canvas upper that can actually be torn-away to reveal a colourfully intricate pattern beneath. Meanwhile, the spiderweb-adorned Shaqnosis rocks a crisp black leather upper with a white contrast graphic overlay. Finally, the Kamikaze 2 ‘Jack-o-Kaze’ doesn’t shy away from being noticed, dressed in loud ‘High Vis Orange’.

All three pairs have sadly, already released.

Nike Air Max 95 ‘Freddy Krueger’

When you attach the ‘Freddy Krueger’ moniker to a sneaker, then you already know that it’s going to be an sought-after release. So, we weren’t surprised when the Nike Air Max 95 ‘Freddy Krueger’ made some serious noise when images first surfaced. Obviously trying not to get sued (again), Team Swoosh delivered this villainous Max model in a Krueger-esque sweater print, with blood oozing out of the rear. A seriously killer iteration.

Look for this AM95 to drop at END on Halloween!

Nike Air Max Plus ‘Spider Web’

Dropping alongside a Blazer and Air Max 90, this Air Max Plus ‘Spider Web' is quite possibly the best out of the trio. Blacked-out, the only contrast detailing is the metallic gold veins and spider-web details along the mudguard.

If a spooky TN is what you’re after, then keep an eye on your local. They’re dropping soon!

Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Halloween’

Team Swoosh’s usual Halloween offerings consist of graphic-adorned themed drops that scare the pants off the toughest of sneakerheads. However, this Air Foamposite Pro opted for a colourway that's a bit more subtle. A very simple metallic silver upper makes way for a black Swoosh and midsole, with orange accents throughout. Clean AF!

Drop date is October 29 at your local sneaker spot.

Ghostbusters x Reebok

A major crossover event, Reebok and the Ghostbusters franchise have linked on a Classic Leather and a brand-spanking-new model dubbed the Ghostsmasher. The Classic Leather pays homage to the crews brown uniform, while the Ghostsmasher is a little more loud, rocking a Pump system at the rear with pipes attached to the lateral and medial. Any of these would be perfect for a Dr. Peter Venkman costume.

Both pairs are dropping on October 31 at select retailers.
