Sneaker brands around the globe are currently finalising their release calendars for the first half of 2024, and there’s already plenty of heat on the way. As more and more pairs get confirmed, it can be daunting trying to narrow down what you need to cop, but don’t fret, Sneaker Freaker are here! We’ve trawled the interweb and located the sneakers that you should add to your 2024 rotation.

Nike Air 180

One of the most highly anticipated releases for 2024 is the first-ever 1-to-1 retro of the Air 180! Revealed during Nike’s SNKRS showcase, it’s been said that senior Nike footwear designer Leon Witherow, aka @prestology, was on the case. As you can see from the official imagery above, the 2024 iteration will boast period-correct specs, and there’s two colourways already slated for 2024. You can’t miss the historic retro of the Nike Air 180!

ASICS GT-2160

When it comes to reliable beaters, ASICS have been the go-to for many sneakerheads over the past few years. Especially the Japanese brand’s Y2K-geared lifestyle silhouettes like the GT-2160. Having been revived in July 2023, the model has quickly garnered a following thanks to epic collaborative efforts with the likes of Dime, Cecilie Bahnsen and Above the Clouds. Hype is steadily brewing for the reliable GT-2160, so cop your pair for 2024.

Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’

The Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’ is the final OG AJ4 colourway that’s yet to receive a retro with Nike Air branding. While rumours surface on an annual basis of a resurrection, this year felt real. First whispers were heard in June, and now there’s been full leaked looks at the sought-after colourway. While Jordan Brand are yet to officially confirm its existence, they’re a must-have for any sneakerhead if they do arrive in 2024.

Nike Air Foamposite

The Nike Air Foamposite is set for a gargantuan resurgence in 2024, with the ‘Eggplant’ and ‘Galaxy’ colourways already slated to return. While the legendary hoops silhouette has always been kicking around the sneakersphere, why not add one of these epic iterations to your rotation.

New Balance 610

New Balance have been killing it in 2023, introducing a plethora of new models that have become the go-to for many of their fans. One of those is the NB610, which debuted toward the start of 2023 and has since gone on to be part of collaborative efforts with Bodega and Aminé. More recently, the 610 has dropped in a stack of epic GRs, which are the perfect first cop of 2024.

PUMA Speedcat

PUMA have been leveraging their motorsport ties throughout the tailend of 2023. Formula 1 especially has garnered plenty of fans over the past few years, with its influence continuing to grow. The apparel and sneakers being produced through this partnership have plenty of sleeper hits, like the Speedcat, so be sure to secure yours for 2024.
